Barbara A. Luke is the founding member of the firm, which began on October 1, 2004.  She graduated from Capital University Law School in 1997 with a Juris Doctor after earning a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance and Music and Business from Otterbein College in 1991.

Barbara learned the practice of law from Frank A. Ray, Esquire, first as a clerk in 1995 and then as an associate in his firm until she founded her own firm in 2004.

Barbara is proud to have been part of the team responsible for a verdict in Jones v. FirstEnergy, a Union County civil litigation case that still holds the record for the largest jury award in Union County, Ohio, history.

Barbara is also proud to serve the countless mothers, fathers, and children who need her help to make sure the best interests of children are taken into account by the courts.  Serving families is the work of the soul, where everything counts and nothing else matters.  She will listen to your story and help you get to the other side.

Having been in the practice of law continuously since 1997, Barbara has juggled marriage, children, divorce, remarriage, and a foster child.  She lives in Marysville in an empty nest filled with her husband, Brian A. Luke, Ph.D., and her chickens, cats, and Golden Retriever, Finn.

In 2005, when her first son was born, Betsie took a hiatus from the practice of law, and spent many years as a a stay-at-home mother to her three children: Jack, Miranda, and Parker.  Betsie was thrilled to return to her role as a counselor-at-law, and joined Barbara Luke at Luke Lawyers, where she is primarily focusing on assisting her clients in obtaining and maintaining safe, stable, loving families, and assisting victims of automobile collisions in obtaining their rightful compensation.

Betsie resides in Dublin, with her three children.  In her time away from the office, Betsie may be found traveling, enjoying the outdoors with her kids, and cheering on her children in baseball, track, cheerleading, dance, orchestra performances, and creative writing events and competitions.

As someone who has experienced the court system as both a litigant and an attorney, Betsie understands that being a party to a lawsuit is one of the most stressful and emotional events in a person's life.  She is committed to helping her clients navigate through this time as a fierce advocate, and will approach each matter with kindness and compassion.
